§       Experienced in setting up and establishing Greenfield projects, with complete infrastructure and financial management systems. Successfully setup two new off-shoring Units for Alea in Malaysia.

§       Developed, implemented and currently managing runoff operation of branch of a major reinsurer.

§        Negotiating simultaneously with around 120 Ceding Companies for finalizing commutation arrangement with our client reinsurer. Most of the contracts have been successfully finalized and the balance is under various stages of negotiation with a very positive outlook.

§       Conducted reinsurance accounting seminar for the Insurance and Reinsurance Industry in the Far East region.

Profile of K.N. Chellappa

An Associate  member of  the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India, graduate member of the Institute of Cost and Works Accountants of India is a  dedicated and hardworking professional accountant with 12 years of varied experience in financial management and accounting particularly in the filed of Reinsurance, Runoff Management and Commutation. 

He is the Senior Manager and is a key member of the team managing runoff, commutation, BPO services. His expertise includes Technical Accounting, Credit Control and Claims Management.

Prior to joining AROM, he was with Alea Malaysia Ltd., A member of the Alea group.  Alea Group prior to its runoff was a global, multi-line solutions oriented reinsurer / insurer with operating capital of US$ 661 million.  He successfully managed the offshore processing centre. His experience includes a stint of over five years with Container Corporation of India Ltd., a multimodal logistic solutions provider in India.
